An-148 | Regional Passenger Jet of a New Generation

ANTONOV Company developed a family of An−148 regional twin−jets in 2000s.

These airplanes are high-technology and competitive products, which meet all the modern world requirements, safety and ecological standards as well as potential operators’ demands. They are intended for passenger, cargo−passenger and cargo transportations on regional and short−haul air routes.

The An−148-100 family includes the following 68−85− seat versions:
An148−100A with a service range of 2100 km;
An148−100B with a service range of 3500 km;
An148−100E with a service range of 4400 km.
and modifications:
- versions with increased passenger capacity;
- versions with maximum comfort level for passengers;
- freighter with a side cargo door;
- freighter with a rear cargo ramp;
- passengercargo (combi) aircraft;
- special purpose aircraft.

The design solutions implemented in the An−148 family aircraft provide the new airplanes with a number of advantages. One of them is considerably higher level of engine and wing structure protectability from damage with foreign objects provided due to scheme of a high−wing monoplane with engines on pylons under the wing. An−148 can be safety operated at poor−equipped, pebble, unpaved and snow−covered runways. The aircraft can be used almost at all types of airdromes. Due to convenient position of the under−floor cargo compartments it is not necessary to use special ground equipment when loading/unloading the baggage.

Д−436−148 engines, serially produced by Ukrainian enterprises for An−148 aircraft family. They are equipped with the automatic control and monitoring systems which optimize work of the engine on all the segments of flight, increase its reliability, decrease fuel consumption and cost of service. Engines of An−148 meet all the modern requirements of ICAO and Eurocontrol.

An-158 | New Regional Passenger Jet

The An−158 is a regional jet of a new generation intended to carry up to 99 passengers over a range up to 4000 km. It is designed on a basis of An−148 regional jet. The An-158 has high commonality with its predecessor, in particular, they have common main systems, engines, cockpit and flight control system, MRO, flight crew training system. Comfort level of these airplanes correspond to the most modern airliners, their characteristics and safety level meets current and prospective world standards and requirements.

Embodying the best parameters of the basic aircraft, the An−158 can fly:
- by day and night all year round in simple and complicated weather conditions;
- under ambient air temperatures at ground from -55C to +50C;
- at high-elevated airfields.

Core differences of the An-158/An-148 include:
- 1.7 m longer fuselage;
- enlarged to 5m³ volume of over-head baggage lockers;
- modified layout of the fuselage tail part;
- improved design of wing;
- DOC to carry 1 passenger decreased by 12%;
- fuel efficiency improved by 9%.

An-12 | Transport Aircraft

ANTONOV An-12 is a four-engined turboprop transport aircraft designed in Kyiv. It is the military version of the Antonov An-10 and was made in many variants:

An-12
Initial production of the military transport model powered by 4,000ehp Ivchenko AI-20A engines.
An-12A
An improved model with four additional fuel cells in the inner wing panels and 4,250ehp AI-20K engines.
An-12AP
Conversion of the An-12A, fitted with the two extra underfloor tanks of the An-12P.
An-12B
Further improved, with detachable outer wings forming integral fuel tanks housing 1,390 litres (305.8 Imp.Gal.) each, reinforced wing centre-section to support the extra fuel weight, a separate Flight Engineer station, more powerful cargo-handling winches and a TG-16 APU in the port undercarriage fairing, which necessitated removal of the rear bomb pylons from the undercarriage fairings. Power was supplied by Ivchenko AI-20M engines with improved reliability at the same rating as the AI-20K. Some An-12B aircraft were built at the factories as commercial transports with all military or sensitive equipment removed, the designation for these aircraft was unchanged.

In 1972 a single An-12B was converted as a flying accident investigation laboratory with equipment for investigating crashes and analysing accident and voice recording systems.

An-70 | Medium Military Transport STOL Aircraft

An-70 is a four-engined counter-rotating transport aircraft, designed in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1992-1994. The An-70 aircraft belongs to a new generation of the short takeoff and landing tactical military transports. An-70 is extremely required by army. This aircraft is capable of solving qualitatively new tasks beyond possibilities of previous military transports. An-70 can transport almost any item of aeromobile military and engineering vehicles used by armies of the world and to deliver them to poorly-equipped unpaved runways directly to the destination. On this ability, An-70 surpasses all the existent airplanes.
An-70 can perform the typical transport mission (transportation of 20 t payload at a range of 3000 km) from unpaved airfield of 600-800 m length only. There is no other airplane with such ability. According to the design estimations, An-70 can be operated from/to elevated airfields placed at altitudes up to 3000 m over sea level. In comparison with the analogues aircraft, the An-70 can perform air dropping of cargoes and parachutists with twice less scatter and its crew can guide the aircraft to the calculated touchdown point with a pin-point accuracy.
Four D-27 engines with SV-27 counter-rotating propfans ensure a high cruising speed and 20-30% fuel economy in comparison with modern turbojet airplanes.
Onboard monitoring and diagnostic systems make possible the autonomous operation of the An-70 aircraft from poorly equipped airfields without the need for any special ground facilities.
The An-70 is fitted with modern electronic equipment and systems of fully digital control.
The upgraded An-70 is attracting attention the military and civil aircraft operators.
