Antonov can now aim on the International market instead of concentrating on the requirements of the Russia

maybe ... future will tell

I hope the best for Antonov anyway: they build such intelligent aircraft that it would be a pity to loose them because of lack of clients !

I always thought the upper blowing surface idea was interesting. But it must not work all that well. The AN-74 was the only production aircraft that used it, and Antonov never did anything else with it.

There's a nubmer of known disadvantages of this config. Cruising speed is low, MTOW is lower than empty weight + max fuel load, Coanda effect (which is the whole point) is limited as the exhaust stream is very narrow and blows over a small part of the wing - at the same time if engine stops lifting power drops way worse than on any other aircraft, access to engines is hindered etc.

Airplane designs that feature the coanda effect have a very specific and narrow strength, which is short take offs and landings. Almost all other performances are compromised. For almost all applications, this special ability is not needed so this design is not very popular.

I didn't say it was 'not successful', that'd be too simplistic thing to say. No, not simplistic. Stupid. An-72 is a very specific and in some sort even experimental aircraft. Let alone the fact that it was designed for military purposes to replace An-26 which brings us straight to fuel efficiency issue. 81 is not smth to be proud of, it's smth to be sorry about given the ammount of An-26s produced.

Antonov An-26 and Antonov An-74 are completely different aircraft. An-74 is a multi-purpose aircraft. The aircraft allows transportation of up to 52 passengers or 10 tonnes of cargo. The aircraft can be converted from the passenger to cargo version or vice versa in any regular airport by the crewmembers within less than 2 hours. It's the only aircraft of this class in the world.

However, you're right that the planes with the Coandă effect have positive and negative sides.
BTW, the Antonov An-72 has a similar design. An-72s were produced 123 units (+81 units of An-74).
