Got a question here. Technically, can Antonov resume the production of An-225 or An-124
if money is not the issue? It seems that Antonov Cargo fleet(An-124, 225) are really busy with flying around the world.

Technically yes, however there is a part finished 225 lying in the corner of a hangar in Kiev for the past 25 years. On occasion, starting 2003 or so, Antonov claimed to be working on finishing it off.

News (not very recent) on An-124 orders here

I am not sure if this is a new order with new frames to be built or whether it is a refurb/upgrade contract on existing frames. It is recent.

Technically is absolutely real but it's not economically feasible. The oversized cargo market is a very small segment of the world transport market.

This is a simple reorganization of the business. Antonov Company became part of the Ukroboronprom*.

*Ukroboronprom is a huge state holding company.

Okay I see that no one said anything about company liquidation. What will happen with machines, workers, blueprints, intellectual property of the company and other things?

By the way OKB Antonov can not resume production without Russian companies.

This is so pathetic.

Quote:
Official statement of ANTONOV Company press service

Hereby we are drawing your attention to the fact that information about liquidation of ANTONOV State Company is not true.

The Government of Ukraine took decision on liquidation of the ANTONOV State CONCERN. The CONCERN consisted of three enterprises: ANTONOV State COMPANY, Kharkiv State Aircraft Manufacturing Company (KSAMC) and State enterprise Plant 410 of Civil Aviation. In 2015, aiming to increase efficiency of the aircraft industry, the Government of Ukraine took decision to pass ANTONOV State COMPANY, KSAMC and State enterprise Plant 410 of Civil Aviation (i.e. all three enterprises of ANTONOV CONCERN) under management of UKROBORONPROM State Concern.

At that, ANTONOV State COMPANY continues to work. It performs full cycle of the aircraft creation – from pre−project scientific researches to construction, tests, certification, serial production and after−sale maintenance. As before, the COMPANY’s production is represented under ANTONOV brand.

The official information is published on the site of Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine on the NEWS page.

http://www.antonov.com/news/439
You don't understand that the Government has decided to liquidate the Antonov Concern (not Antonov Company). Antonov Concern & Antonov Company are different concepts. Are you confused in terms and names that are unfamiliar to you. Antonov Company continues to work as part of another state concern (Ukroboronprom). All the companies, that were part of the Antonov Concern, were transferred to Ukroboronprom. All of them will continue to work within the new concern.

Antonov Company is a 100% Ukrainian state-owned enterprise. Russia did not take part in the design of the new Antonov airplanes. 'ANTONOV Company has drastically reduced its cooperation with Russia', - said Dmytro S. Kiva, General Designer of ANTONOV Company. This is very good news for me.

You're wrong again. Dmytro Kiva had previously held two positions - General Designer of ANTONOV Company and President of ANTONOV Company. Now Dmytro Kiva holds only the position of General Designer of ANTONOV Company. Well, I think that's the right decision.

UKROBORONPROM decided that the Antonov Company will design a combat drones. That's the right decision too.

Once again:

The nonstandard plural form 'aircrafts' is in use among non-native speakers of English --> 'aircraft' is correct

What are you talking about? AN-140, AN-148 and AN-158 are in mass production.

Almost all your judgments are wrong.

This was done by Ukrainian designers of Antonov Company.
