I don't think so, these obstacles are common in democratic societies but are quickly removed or altogether ignored in a society where individual rights are sparse.

Lol, pretty sure that was a sarcastic remark by droneriot.

Indeed. Besides that, I don't think suffocating bureaucracy is really elevating individual rights all that much.

About time the Estrel Tower goes ahead and sets a new bar for Berlin, even though outside the "downtown" area. This will likely shift a new focus on development around the BER Airport area, that hopefully soon goes "online".

I want to believe that this, the Hines and the Alexander towers all go ahead now. It would be a small boom by Berlin standards.

I find ít´s time again (every once in a while) to throw the Berlin proposals up front. If for nothing else, then to elicit some discomfort in Berlin at being the city where no proposal gets realized.

The start of the construction is officially delayed again for a unknown time.
Right next to the area where this tower is going to be build there is the construction site of the Autobahn A100. Even though everyone knew that there will be two huge construction sites directly next to each other no one thought of possible problems. The "entrance" of the construction site of the A100 is located directly on the construction site of the Estrel Tower so there is a dispute about that.
There is also a dispute about an underpass which is going to be the connection between the old and the new Estrel complex but the ownership of that underpass is not clarified ..... Estrel bought that underpass but there are details that are not clarified.

But hopefully there will be a solution within this year.
