Even in the source, it's in the top 14, personally, I'd put the U.S Capitol Building Dome on the top 10 list.

The San Francisco City Hall dome is taller.

St Peters is the best, in terms of the best mix of size and design. When you have Michelangelo amongst your architects it's hard to top.

Although not a dome from the outside... America's largest 1920s Movie Palace...the 5,174 seat Detroit Fox Theatre has a shallow dome
170 ft. across, and 105 ft. high.
