Barcelona - march 2013

Barcelona 2013

From 14 until 19 march I went to Barcelona for a city trip. Lots of Gaudi, football match of FC Barcelona, good weather and nice tapas
I have a total of more then 100 pics selected for this thread so I will post more during coming days/weeks.

1.
In the street behind my hotel there was already a great example of Gaudí architecture, Casa Vicens (1883-1889).

After this we went on towards an other well known masterpiece of Gaudí, Park Güell.

2.
Went into the park from a side entrance. Here the view towards the main entrance of the parc..

3.
View from the terrace over the city Barcelona.

4.
Lets zoom in!. Here a view with the W hotel tower.

5.

15.
Onwards to the small streets of the Barri Gotic and Ribera neighbourhoods.

16.

17.
Barcelona is packed with great buildings! The one more beautifull then the other. Sometimes its about details like these glass windows.

18.
Placa de Joan Carles I.

On day 2 I was on my way to some more great buildings by Gaudí. First stop Casa Mila (La Pedrera).
For both Casa Milŕ and Casa Batlló I bought the entrance tickets in advance.

19.
The facade of Casa Milŕ (1906-1910).

21.
The chimneys are just wonderfull.

After this I walked toward a palace of modernisme architecture; the Palau de la Musica Catalana. colourfull, great details!! Next time I will take the tour inside this building.

The ticket gave me a seat at the center of the field. Superb views during the game! Messi himself gave us two highlights with two goals. The second one was beautifull. The game ended in 3-1 for FCB.

96.
Outside Nou Camp, the gates aren't open yet.

97.
Inside the stadium. Still early so almost no body here!

98.
