I sure like those 3 countries, I want to visit them as soon as possible. It's like Europe in South-America. Like the US is a bit, but they didn't do a good job with preserving their heritage.

So while the US is mostly wasteland with vast sprawls of cities with empty citycenters, South America has preserved their history and buildings(except for Sao Paulo I've heard)

Handsome, stately buildings on broad boulevards. Beautiful.

Bravo, I have never seen someone so quickly express their complete and utter ignorance of American architecture.

Anyhow, this thread is fantastic and the architecture is stunning..

but it doesn't belong in the European Classical Architecture section...

Why not? some of those buildings were alctually designed by european architects. I think it goes perfect with this section...

I will subscribe to the thread. So if it is moved, I will look for it. Very nice architecture and I don't know very much about this topic.

North America has amazing architectur and still some maginifcant cities like Quebec City and Savanah, Georgia. But it's not much anymore compared to Latin-America and Europe.

Because this section is specifically for architecture in Europe. I do enjoy this thread and will follow it if it is moved, but it doesn't belong in this section anymore than having a threat about architecture in Boston belongs here.

You will find that most US cities (especially east of the Mississippi) still have neighborhoods and districts intact from the 18th, 19th, and early 20th century (all of which reflect the European heritage of the US and Canada).
The US and Canada lost a lot of historic architecture ( you are correct in that regard) due to uncontrolled urban development as well as economic growth after WWII, but to say it is a wasteland is an exaggeration and ignores the rich collection of historic architecture in the US and Canada.
