I can see influences from Spain, France, England and Germany. Very impressive architecture. I like the elegance and the eclectic styles. I don't usually like a combination of different styles, but here it works quite well.

in the south everything is different,a mix of cultures, do not be surprised , is magic

I'm sorry but you missed after La Serena cities,and also lacked some photos of La Serena, cities like Los Ángeles, Iquique, Valdivia, Puerto Montt, Coyhaique, Arica, Viña del Mar, but thanks well, maybe not the dress

En el año 1932 viaja a la Argentina, contratado por cinco años, el Dr. Helmut Cabjolsky. Lo acompañaban su señora esposa Sra. Hedwig Behrend de Cabjolsky, sus hijos Helmut y Klaus de 13 y 11 años respectivamente, su ama de llaves Sra. Liesbeth Mehnert y su esposo Kurt Mehnert. Durante su estadía en la Argentina y añorando sus paisajes natales de montañas e insatisfecho con los conocidos lugares donde poder tomarse sus merecidos descansos anuales, logra comprar (corría el año 1934) en las serranías de Córdoba un campo de aproximadamente 500 has. el cual contenía como punto de referencia el catastralmente denominado CERRO CUMBRECITA con una altura de 1450 msnm. El poblado más cercano, Los Reartes, originalmente posta para cambios de caballos del camino real, distaba del campo adquirido solamente 12 km. en linea recta, los cuales una vez construida la primera huella se transformaron en 27 km. a recorrer. El próximo asentamiento distaba a otros 11 km., la entonces denominada estancia El Sauce, que con el correr de los años se transformó en la actual Villa General Belgrano. Todo tipo de provisión de materiales, comestibles, etc. se realizaban obligadamente desde la ciudad de Alta Gracia. En los primeros años el paisaje reinante era agreste, sin árboles, típico de las serranías cordobesas. Dos cuñados del Dr. Cabjolsky, F. y E. Behrend, llegados de Europa, viviendo en carpas, se dedicaron a desarrollar un vivero local, al cercado de una parte del campo para evitar que los animales destruyeran las plantas y al trazado de una huella de acceso a la zona desde Los Reartes. La primera edificación, realizada en adobes de barro, fue iniciada en el año 1935. Originalmente pensada como casa de veraneo, muy pronto se transformó en albergue para poder alojar a los amigos de la familia Cabjolsky. El próximo paso, dado el creciente interés, la misma comenzó a funcionar como una pequeña hostería familiar (en la actualidad Hotel La Cumbrecita) la cual finalmente fue adquirida por el Sr. Reynaldo Schefski y Sra. quienes habían llegado al lugar, interesados por la familia Cabjolsky, con la idea de dedicarse a la cría de ganado. Mientras tanto, la Sra. Liesbeth Mehnert y su esposo continuaron al lado de la familia Cabjolsky durante los primeros años, dedicándose luego, a la confección de masas y tortas, (Confitería Liesbeth). El loteo original, el trazado de las calles y las primeras edificaciones fueron encaradas por el Ing. Helmut F. Cabjolsky, hijo mayor de la familia, sin olvidar de mencionar a las primeras familias que se establecieron y compartieron la ardua tarea de transformar a LA CUMBRECITA en este pequeño paraíso: Valenta, Knöepfli, Fleckenstein, Anz, Zechner, Schöeller, Mayer, etc. y a los lugareños de la zona Giménez, López, Molina, etc. La divulgación del encanto y belleza del lugar, en un principio no fue intencional sino más bien circunstancial y de boca en boca, ya que nunca se había pensado en la posibilidad de que LA CUMBRECITA podría transformarse en un polo de atracción turística. Hoy en día no solo ha logrado esta transformación, sino que conforma uno de los lugares más importantes, exclusivos y selectos, en este sentido, del País recibiendo incluso turismo internacional.
