Folkerzambo, owner of the local estate, built the Church of the Holy Cross in 1650.Oldest Lithuania wooden church was constructed without nails. In the beginning it was Calvinist, and it didn’t become a Catholic church until 1808. In 1880 church was renovated. Interior build in 1713.

Beautiful buildings. Wood is the most vulnerable of building materials. It is remarkable that they have lasted as long as they have. They look like they were just built.

Degučiai church. Village located near former border of Prussia. Church built in 1757, has rear triangular plan.

Laukžemė church, built in 1850
Located in Western Lithuania, Samogitia
In this church there is one of oldest in Europe wooden statue which supposedly made in ​​XV c.
