Here are some pics where you can see some different planes that visited BSB, you can also see the (old) airport structure, I took it from the Brazilian thread:

5- Mirante (foto noturna)

6- Foto noturna do Satélite

7- Outra do check-in

10- Parte externa - desembarque (noturna)

17- Airbus A340-200 do Governo da Jordânia (escrito no avião "The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan") - Cúpula Árabe / Sul-Americana

RIP.

Looks like that brand new terminal would bring in even more air traffic to BSB. Question: will that be part of the Domestic wing or the International wing, and how many additional gates will that terminal expansion provide?

We don't know yet if it will be domestic or international. There will be 10 new air bridges.

Well, for the B. 747s I believe there will be no problem.
But I guess the airport will not be ready for the A380 in this first phase (2014).

Actually there will be a total of 28 gates in the new terminal next year (there are 13 nowadays).

This is how the terminal will look like in 2014 (first expansion):

Go, BSB! Brasília was urging for a brand new terminal and compatible with a capital of a huge country as Brazil. By the way, you could create new threads with GIG and CNF projects, once they were revealed some weeks ago by Brazilian Aviation Agency.

Agreed. I also don't know why we there are no threads on GRU and VCP especially considering they are the biggest airport construction projects on-going right now.
