Singapore-based Pacific Star is launching a new development, which will be a integrated mixed-use waterfront project in Puteri Harbour, Nusajaya, Iskander Malaysia.

The 31,577 sqm prime and freehold land, acquired from UEM Land for RM93.328 million (US$31 million), will house three 25-storey apartment towers with about 800 apartments ranging from one bedroom to four bedrooms, whilst another two low-rise four-storey blocks will house multi-functional SOHO units. All apartments will have a panoramic view of the marina, sea, straits of Johor and skyline of western Singapore.

Glen Chan, chief operating officer of Star Group, and president of Pacific Star Development Pte Ltd said, “Our integrated waterfront project will bring a slice of affordable luxury to the center of Puteri Harbour, catering to the accommodation needs of discerning Malaysians, Singaporeans and the growing expatriate community in the Iskandar Region. This unique project will spearhead our development business in the ASEAN countries and we look forward to launching the sales before the end of this year where we aim to achieve a GDV of more than RM1.18 billion.” (US$392 million)

Pacific Star plans to develop a lifestyle retail centre with planned 80 retail units, fronting a cove where a new private marina and clubhouse are due be built later this year.

The development is within five minutes walk to Puteri harbor Custon, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Centre, where ferries have started operations to Karimun and Batam islands, and shall commence ferry service to Harbour Front in Singapore before the end of this year.

According to Pacific Star Development, since the announcement of the land acquisition on 3 April they have been receiving high volumes of enquiries from potential buyers.

PETALING JAYA: Pacific Star Development Pte Ltd is set to develop an integrated mixed-use development project with a gross floor area of about 1.3 million sq ft in Iskandar Malaysia.

The Singapore-based company acquired the piece of land in Puteri Harbour from UEM Land Holdings Bhd for RM93.33mil, it said in a statement. Pacific Star plans to develop exclusive waterfront apartments, small-office-home-office (Soho) units, as well as a lifestyle retail centre.

The company said it started negotiations with UEM Land in early 2011.
The project consists of three 25-storey apartment towers with about 800 apartments ranging from one bedroom to four bedrooms. Another two low-rise four-storey blocks will house the Soho units. All apartments and Soho units will face the marina, sea, Straits of Johor and skyline of western Singapore.
Meanwhile, the two-storey commercial lifestyle retail centre spans approximately 120,000 sq ft, with about 80 planned retail units.

The development is situated at a strategic waterfront location in Puteri Harbour and within five minutes walk to the Puteri Harbour Custom, and the Immigration and Quarantine Centre.

“Our integrated waterfront project will bring a slice of affordable luxury to the centre of Puteri Harbour, catering to the accommodation needs of discerning Malaysians, Singaporeans and the growing expatriate community in the Iskandar region. This unique project will spearhead our development business in the Asean countries and we look forward to launch the sales before year-end where we aim to achieve a GDV (gross development value) of more than RM1.18bil,” president and Pacific Star Group chief operating officer Glen Chan said.

UEM Land chief executive officer and managing director Datuk Wan Abdullah Wan Ibrahim added that Pacific Star's project will bring development momentum up by another notch in Puteri Harbour.

If Philippine has not done anything wrong then why would they apologize? Apology is important but the key point is Taiwanese people think Philippine government is hiding the truth and playing "word games". This is definitely not an unintentional accident if you looking at all the bullet holes on the Taiwanese unarmed fish boat... Instead, this is a murder and the murderers must be punished. Therefore, we are hoping Philippine government could be responsible and catch the killers to prevent the same issue to happen again. Philippine people, if you can put yourself in our shoe, you probably will understand the reason we are so angry and can't accept this apology. Once we accept this apology which means we are agreeing this is only an unintentional incident. Again, we feel sorry for those innocent workers who got involved, we still give respects to Philippine citizens and all the oversea workers. This dissatisfaction is only for Philippine Government and not against Philippine people.
