I sure hope they finish the roof as shown in the renders!

Image was from 6SQFT, but that site seems to not be loading.

It does look great, especially when viewed as part of the Madison Park cluster. I just can't believe they left the rooftop mechanicals exposed. (I mean, of course I can believe it, but it's just egregious penny-pinching that knocks what could've been a 9/10 tower to more like a 7/10, at least in my book)

I agree, the stuff at the top is rather unsightly. It knocks a few points off of what is otherwise an amazing tower.

It is supposed to have a glass enclosed crown which is not yet finished. They were still taking down the exterior elevator!

We got a peek inside a $20 million apartment in the latest skyscraper to dramatically alter Manhattan's skyline

Quote:
Madison Square Park Tower is changing Manhattan's skyline. The 65-story glass skyscraper is the tallest in its Flatiron District neighborhood, and because of various zoning laws surrounding it, its fantastic views will never be obstructed. While the building won't be fully completed until 2018, 70% of the units have already sold, according to property developer Bruce Eichner.

Business Insider recently visited the 56th-floor apartment, which boasts a price tag of $20 million and 360-degree views of the city.

It's really pathetic how the top of the building turned out. The elevator shaft, the window cleaning crane, and other equipment are in full view from the south and east sides. From the west it looks like the rendering promised, but this building failed in my view because of the roof execution. It's like gone are the days were roof lines were a thing of great aesthetic.

But it's not completed yet is it? Maybe there's still hope for it to turn out somehow better..
