795ft increase?? Sweet! Pretty significant with this height for this area as thus puppy will stand out in the skyline. I can see the champaign flute design.

Would love to see an official rendering for this. This will be an interesting building when it'll be completed. Hope they choose quality cladding

I'd also like to point out this is how you can gracefully execute a cantilever. I am looking at you Nordstrom Tower.

Am I seeing something different? Looking at the section drawing, the total height of the building should be 765' 5".

You're not seeing something different, it says 765 indeed.

Good to see another height increase! Fantastic design!

Where abouts in new York will this be? Can someone mark it out on a skyline shot wiyt a simple place holder?

It's between Union Square and Madison Square, though closer to the latter.

New York YIMBY is calling this one at 795 ft. http://newyorkyimby.com/2013/12/re-d...nd-street.html

The drawings clearly say 765.5 ft. WTF? Are these guys measuring from sub-basements?

I welcome the new tower, especially since it will replace a mundane structure. I love Tamarind though. I'd like to try the downtown location.

I could see how it would look like a champaigne glass if the bottom was more symmetrical. Don't how how possible it would to have that though.
