I don't think so ... I mean
- who would have thought that the Hudson Yards would become such a giant project? Including a 400m+ supertall plus several other towers just for Phase I.
- who would have thought that 57th street would experience such a massive boom? One supertall almost completed, a 400m+ tower under construction and a 500m+ monster in preparation.
- who would have thought that countless (supertall) residential skyscrapers would start popping up all over the place?

So never say never.

Assuming that version of 15 Penn is accurate, 371m * 2 = 742m at least.

For a project as massive as this that limit is probably the least of their worries.

well, for a project that is as close to 3 major airports as this one is to LGA, JFK and EWR, i think FAA has to worry about it...

not being a debbie-downer here; i, too, would love for the city to get its first megatall..

The Plan, and Towers look best on the SHOP one. The tower looks really good actually. I love SOM's out of this world design though, but not the towers on it.

This is just awesome imo

That needle tower looks like Ping An in Shenzhen.

I'm all for having this thread open. After all, there are spectacular renders to discuss, and an area with great potential for future development. That's more than we've got for many other projects, for sure.

However, I think it should class as "vision" rather than "proposal". The way it is now, every third post will be discussing why the thread is listed as it is, instead of the contents of the thread.

Including this post. Whoops.

1WTC is as high, but the old 2WTC was 1362 feet to a solid acre roof, the new 2WTC starts to get skinny at about 900 or so feet and the roof is in the 1200's.

Yup. Title needs to be changed from -PRO- to -VISION-
Otherwise it is confusing.
