They've added some new content to the official HY page. I don't know how recent this is, but it looks like they're now referring to this tower as 10 Hudson Yards.

I was perusing the fact sheet, and I read this:

Quote:
Structural System: Cast-in-place concrete frame with concrete shear wall core
Floor Framing: The one-way slab construction consists of a precast Filigree soffit plank 2 1/4” thick with a cast-in-place topping slab for a total thickness of 9”. Post-tensioned beams and girders are 12” to 17” below the bottom of slab for total structural depth of 21” to 26”.
I know somebody asked earlier if it would be an all-concrete construction or a concrete-steel combo, so there's your answer.

Today I got a job doing autocad drafting for a ventilation company in Queens, and I might be doing work in one of these buildings.

@j-biz - I will try to get there this Saturday. I wanted to take a look at this place, make some pictures and also go around Vanderbilt future site around Grand Central. Just way too busy lately

10 Hudson Yards sounds a lot better than "Coach" Tower.

Maybe Coach didn't want the shareholders getting antsy about a big expensive new tower with their name splashed all over it.

Yerp & here's another photo from themodulorman showing "filigree precast Filigree soffit plank 2 1/4” thick" waiting for their "cast-in-place topping slab for a total thickness of 9”." I assume the big channels are for the "Post-tensioned beams and girders are 12” to 17” below the bottom of slab for total structural depth of 21” to 26”."

Heh, well, Coach isn't allowed to name the tower anyway, per an agreement between L'Oreal and Related.

themodulorman provided a photo of what looks like the interior base of a column. This column looks like it's south of the High Line, based on 1930's HL column at top left and construction/jersey barriers on 30th st at top right.

Another look at the same area is below. The columns look much nicer in the rendering:

Yah. You can try to correlate the extension platforms from the High Line in the 11/22 j-biz photo with the rendering

Maybe j-biz will venture into the rainy but mild weather and take some more photos of the current construction. The do seem to be moving along nicely.

Here's a Geoff Butler photo from 11/14 that gives a different prespective than most of the ground level or HL photos. Maybe taken from the large USPS sorting facility?

Cool video of the first year of 10 HY construction.

There's an EarthCam trained on this site somewhere, and they're not sharing the link with us.......

Yep! It's the one year anniversary of the official groundbreaking which produced this mayoral photo w/ pols, suits, & the construction workers who do the actual work:

And here's a current (12/2) overhead hardcoreshutterbug photo of MOST of the HY/ERY EXCEPT for the Coach Tower:

And on the same day KPF was on the job at a HY curtain wall fabricator? mock-up facility? in PA:
