The Coach name should not be on any part of the High Line at all.

So they should have torn it down? Because that was really the only other alternative in the works before it was saved.

Anyway...

If we taxed the Coach company (and other corporations in NYC) properly the City would have enough to afford to build The High Line without corporate sponsorships. Its not the humans that should be taxed for this, its the companies.

The Coach Tower now has a massive tower crane.

If you look closely, they've begun to pour the base of the foundation. I'm guessing this will be above ground by this fall.

Nice.. This site is humming! The sooner this things gets going the more appealing it will be for potential tenants for the North tower.

Something needs to be done with 450 W. 33rd. The last I heard was that Brookfield was contemplating changing the facade to all glass. Is that still on the table?

See rendering below:

They're doing a refresh with new glass but a total demo/redevelopment could be many years away.

Iirc it is still planned, however it might be delayed 'til construction on Brookfield's towers behind it begins

WARNING - Please read with caution

I found the address for what I think is the official address for Coach South Tower.

Please tell me I am wrong! Am I missing something?
http://a810-bisweb.nyc.gov/bisweb/Jo...ssdocnumber=01

It says under the filing that the tower is 48 stories tall which Coach Tower Is supposed to be, but what bothers me is the height in the filing at 565ft??

Can anyone confirm that 501 W 30th is indeed the Coach South Tower?? Unless this address is for another building in Related's property standing 48 stories tall.

There's no way that's Coach. It lists gross square footage at 1.8 million, but Coach is 3.2 million. I'm not sure what that is.

Good point! That eases things a little... but what other tower on Related's property will stand 48 stories tall and designed by KPF? Other than the North Tower which this is definitely isn't. That is what is a bit concerning.

that sounds familiar, iirc there was a building similar to 56 leonard proposed along the highline awhile back near the hudson yards main development. That could be it

Plus it says this is a commercial building, so no way it's a residential highrise going up.
