Hold it, guys. This is the link to this project at Skyscraper Center. Only problem I have though is it says this is residential.

Here is the earliest filing for a New Building Application filed on 7/12/2012
http://a810-bisweb.nyc.gov/bisweb/Jo...90&requestid=9

Even at that time in 2012, it says the same thing for the planned height of 565 ft and what does not makes sense Related had been marketing it for a height over 900 ft since then.

I dunno.

450 "Hudson Boulevard"
And that one was not designed by KPF.

It's listed as concrete (CIP), but I'm pretty sure Coach and the North Tower have a steel skeleton too.

Yep! So could this be another building we don't know about? The figures from skyscrapercenter matches the DOB filing with the exception that is says it is for commercial in the current filing.

It says mixed use in the 2012 one. Could just be an honest mistake. I'm sure that isn't Coach though.

Yeah I'm sure it is a mistake. Funny thing though, Skyscrapercenter has one for the Coach Hudson Yards South Tower.

http://skyscrapercenter.com/new-york...h-tower/13326/

501W30 must be a completely different project that we are not aware of that has a current approved filing for a new building with the DOB standing 565ft!

That's what I'm thinking too. Good to have the air cleared again.

Actually this part is correct, they will be using concrete for the Coach Tower. When I get some time I'll look for that the article stating that info. On a different note the tower is 895 feet, not 900 as mentioned in some postings I saw.

I know they will, but if they're using steel as well, there's another box for that.

I must be one of the only people that really likes that building as it is.

I don't want that building demolished.

I try not to hate buildings, but that's one of maybe ten exceptions. It's intolerable.

It says under the filing that the tower is 48 stories tall which Coach Tower Is supposed to be, but what bothers me is the height in the filing at 565ft??

Can anyone confirm that 501 W 30th is indeed the Coach South Tower?? Unless this address is for another building in Related's property standing 48 stories tall.
I believe that's an old filing from before the time that Related actually finalized its agreement with the City, which, believe it or not, occurred after Related and Coach agreed to a deal. That height reflected what could be built prior to Related's signing its agreement, which bestowed extra air rights. Subsequent filings show that the tower will be 905 feet tall.

Related itself got the tower listed as 895 feet, just check its own Hudson Yards website, and every reporting on this tower refers to this height, I doubt the developer would have the height of its own tower wrong. But this discrepancy deserve more clarification.

Inside source says this will be above The High Line by August - which is insane! Progress will be swift.
