the previous design for the site was pretty tall. (though more average by today's standards when you think about the Hudson Yards area) I think Extell owned it then. (pre 2008?)

notice the massing in the background of this hudson railyard redevelopment proposal rendering

Thanks guys! It's absolutely bonkers how many huge projects are going on in this relatively tiny strip. And several of them will make 10 HY (which seems like such a behemoth now) look insignificant insignificant by comparison. My one hope is that one of them -- maybe Tishman's project, maybe McCourt's -- goes the extra mile and sticks its head above the rest.

I walked by today. This tower is already huge! The way it slopes back is really dramatic!

"10 Hudson Yards just keeps getting taller!"

From Wednesday

Also, they are doing a unique advertising campaign for all of the Hudson Yards Towers. Coach Tower was first.

Nice updates. How far are we from the second setback? Like 6 floors?

Also, the BuildingMingle marketing campaign is cute. "On the Highline" gave me a good laugh.

This tower will look impressively large from this vantage point when it's complete. And then 30 HY will come along and really drop jaws...

When matching the current floor height up with the Skyscraperpage diagram, the building appears to be roughly ~145m tall, it may not be 100% accurate, but in comparison with the white OHM, 10HY looks to be around 15-20m taller than it, so I guess it's not too far off then!

this is an older rendering of Tower C's taller iteration, but it'll do for a comparison

Nice to see the cladding going up so early - and it looks like good quality cladding!
