This is by far the slowest project going, and I'm not THAT guy...anyone know why?

When did construction start?

Tower three is going to bypass this and that has been on hold for two years...lol

They switched to concrete instead of steel construction due to a labor dispute, then we had two especially harsh winters in a row.

Yeah, I don't think that the harsh winters and the concrete material are the reasons why, thhose could have slowed the construction a bit, but I think there's more than that. 30 Park Place is equally made of concrete and was constructed during the same harsh winters, nevertheless, it was built pretty quickly.

This is 30 Park Place on Christmas day 2013, just the ground floor done.

While this was this building at the same date.
The base was almost ready.

But 30 Park Place was topped out by mid to late february this year.

One thing with this building is that it has much larger plates than 30 Park Place, also, the construction is more complicated, with leaning columns and other complexities.

In addition to that, it also could be (I don't know that, it is just especulation) that the concrete contractor of this tower is not as efficient as 30 Park Place's.

yeah, but 30 Park place isn't a leaning obelisk with a raised park running through its base. Just compare the two photos of the towers above grade and see how much more intricate things are at the site of 10 HY.

Yes, exactly what I was saying, that there are other, more important reasons, apart from the concrete and the harsh winter, for this tower for being slow.

I think we have another 6 floors until the next setback, it's currently 13 floors above the previous one by the look of it, so still a month or 2 till we reach that!

Thanks. I think there was one shot where it looked like it had already happened, but I think it was just a coincidental angle, and what I though was the setback floor was just the core protruding.

On another note, given those renders, does anyone have some insight into what the roof is all about? Is that an open-air lattice?
