You can clearly see the crown structure being built on the top as the bright white steelwork.

The crown is starting to become visible. While this may be topped off floor wise, the crown skeleton is just beginning to rise. Giving a 100' boost to what we have been looking at for the last weeks.

This tower alone is impressive. But it's only beginning!

Great images. It is tough to imagine these turning into the concept art.

They are building that crown very fast!
By early-mid december it should be completely done. With that the building will be structurally completed. The cladding is almost there, so we should see that completed soon too. Maybe by january or february.

The cladding on the base columns is abominable. Totally doesn't match the excellence higher up.

You're very right. I thought so back when those first renderings of the passageway came out, wondering how in the world that stone texture was supposed to fit into things. Turns out, it just doesn't. In reality, this stone is even more dull than in the renders, although I'll concede that could be because they're dusty and they might gleam more when they've been hosed down. But even then I'd almost have preferred raw concrete to that cheesy black stone.

Fortunately, the rest of the tower looks freaking great, and you won't see the pillars except from right up close.

Those low-rise condos on either side of the High Line should not have been approved.
