Thanks!
I know, but till better data is available it will have to do. I put an asterisk next to it.

I read your post, but the link you provided clearly showed 66 + 70 buildings.

Ok, I'll await updates to what I have (roof heights).

The real number for Moscow is higher. According to Emporis.com, it has just under 100 completed. More complete list from SkyscraperPage.com counts:
built: 130
u/c: 18
on hold: 5
prop: 2

Since this is a roof height list, the Emporis figure is likely correct and the 85 completed listed on this thread is likely quite accurate.

Interesting to see the big 4 anglosphere countries taking the top 4 spots. Still waiting for data from Jakarta, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Seoul.... and better data for Mumbai, but still.

It's amazing to see and identify the boom in Toronto. Really fascinating.

When do you think supply will outstrip demand?

London has no choice really now but to go big. Every major proposal now entails some form of high-rise element it seems.

In London, towers are very fashionable at the moment in a traditionally low-rise city. I can't see it ending especially with rates and yield so high from them.

Foster & Partners have just also been asked to design a cluster of new towers in Canary Wharf although there is still plenty of opposition regarding towers in London as yesterday what would've become the 2nd tallest tower in the UK was rejected although there does seem to be calls for an appeal.

wow... Mumbai surpassed Manila in constructions.

I'm looking forward in seeing the skylines of these cities 3-5 years from now!

New York seems a little low. Just curious, where are you getting these numbers?

Good idea for a thread. However, I believe the data collected so far is extremely inaccurate for some cities (especially the Asian/Chinese ones). This for example is what the New York based user univer states in his signature:

New York: 748 ; Guangzhou :at least 700 ; Tokyo:at least 500
Also, if we really include every city on earth with more than one building above 100m completed, u/c or proposed we'll have more than 1,000 cities on the list in the end.

According to the council on tall buildings and urban habitat, Hong Kong has 2354 buildings taller than 100m.
