I didn't go to Monterey because I didn't have time to see everything.
Wow, I should've been in Berkeley that day too, if not for a friend of mine who convinced me to skip that day because I had school the day you visited Berkeley. I wouldn't have had your details, though, so it'd be a difficult hide and seek game anyway. Oakland City Center is one of the newer attractions downtown, with multiple buildings, restaurants, and shops, catering to the office workers and visitors from around the East Bay. I went around Downtown Oakland earlier too, walking through streets I haven't gone through before on foot. And did you manage to visit the UC Berkeley campus too on your visit?

I highly recommend reading my Urban Showcase thread, Bay Area in Pictures (link on my signature below) to see the areas you've visited, as well as my personal insights about the region I call my second home. And I'm glad you really love San Francisco a lot... I even call that my playground!

I spent only a few hours in Berkeley because I really wanted to see most of San Francisco. I only saw the sign of UC and there were a lot of people taking pictures there. But the bay area is not that far from where I live (14 hours by car) and I will definitely visit again in the future.

Very wonderful, especially with the fog hanging below San Francisco's skyline... Did you go there in the morning? And it looks like you've also been to the actual Ferry Terminal too, with a Golden Gate Ferry in sight as well. Sausalito, to me, is a wonderful community on the southern edge of Marin County (my home county), in which homes can cost from around $2 million, the sea breezes and fog hang over the area in the morning, lots of Curial shops and charming restaurants, and it's just a great place to stroll around on a bike, on board a boat, or simply walk. I've been there numerous times to know that you've walked through Broadway, the main drag of the city, and yes, that park on Broadway & El Portal has elephant sculptures in them!

As for Santa Rosa, those are the exact same places I frequent when I visit up there, from 4th Street (Downtown) to the Santa Rosa Plaza (with Snoopy sculptures) to Old Courthouse Square! My goodness, you've gone a lot of sightseeing indeed, and you've truly impressed me with your wonderful images!

Lovely Sausalito pics, my friend! You can PM me when you'll come back again so that I can show you around personally.

I went to Sausalito because the sightseeing bus (the hop on/off) took us there. To be honest, I had no idea of that city and I liked it.

Yes, I know those sightseeing buses quite a lot. Sausalito may only have around 7,400 people living in it, yet, it's a pretty charming small city in Marin County, just around a few minutes away from the Golden Gate Bridge. Its downtown area is compact, and there are quite a lot of boat docks on the northern part of town, hosting to yachts and fishing boats. Did you also manage to go to Tiburon or Muir Woods too on your trip? And I'm pleased to hear you like Sausalito...
