Look again. Also, it's actually 2 buildings. You can see the other one (285') to the upper right of most my above pictures, with the red fencing. That one is completely dug and constructing the basement levels.

From 5/31 The red crane is for the 285' tower. This one is still digging in the foreground.

According to a posting on the FAA website this building was granted permission to rise to 755 feet to the top of the mechanical floors. That means Boston is getting a new second tallest building!

Sorry I can't post the link I don't have enough posts.

Can you please keep posts like this to the main development forum I understand you are trying to get the word out but this isn't really an appropriate place to put that information. Thanks however for posting that info on the general Boston developments forum.

What's the impression of the glass facade like in person? Is it of good quality?
Can't really judge from the pictures, on some it looks great, on others it's meh.

The shorter building from what I have seen and others have said on Archboston has relatively high quality glass not as good as Millennium tower but pretty good and in bright sunlight the grey panels can appear white and lighten the overall effect. The strip windows do not continue around the whole building the back and other side that cannot be seen in the pictures above is more usual windows set into the panels that form the strips on the front.

I wish I had some more pictures but sadly I do not.

Here is the shorter building from 2/7. I'm not sure if it's 285' or 305' due to the strange way Boston announces its heights. I believe this is actually a different developer from the taller tower. (which still hasn't STARTED digging yet)

Had a conversation with a friendly construction worker tonight. Here are the highlights:

They have in fact done a substantial amount of work on this, and have finished most of the foundation.

Should break ground within a month from now.

Once it gets going, expect it to shoot up.

Best of all, he confirmed, TALLER THAN THE PRU!!! By this time next year Boston should have a new second tallest!!!!!

*Mod, please change the thread to 230m/755'.

Mods are likely going want slightly more official confirmation than "I heard it from a guy".

I hope that confirmation comes .

This is what we based it on. https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external...6595302&row=12

The conversation was with a knowledgeable worker directly on site. Not hearsay. He confirmed it will be taller than the 750' Prudential next door.

Proposed buildings in Boston only give the height to the highest occupiable floor. They are always taller, and we generally find out the real heights as they are about to be built.
