Nop! Only WTC 4 costs 1.8-2 bln. All complex with 1,2,3,4.......is 20-25 bln.
Shard is 4 bln. ST around 2.5-3 bln.

London? Give me a break. That city is hardly a skyscraper city. How about building a proper supertall first. Even Kuwait City has a better and more massive skyline lol.
Let's be honest: New York and Shanghai are the obvious candidates here. Especially New York is experiencing a supertall boom. A 1km+ on the Hudson Yards would look great in the company of other behemoths (1WTC - 541m, 225W57thSt - ~500m, 432 PA - 426m, 2WTC - 411m, HY North - 408m etc.).

Btw this belongs to the proposed section.
sorry, but I think a tower this high would ruin the elegant and balanced New York Skyline It is the high of the New WTC x3 and the hight of the Empire State Building x5. In Shanghai it would look better for sure, but it will look totaly out of place there too. The only city where I really could imagine this tower is Moscow. Moscows Skyline is built a bit like a Pyramid and if this gets built at the old side of Russia Tower it will be in the Center. Dubai is also possible. But I doesnt wish that this gets built in any city. It is just to high, no skyline in the world could balance this IMO. The best option here is to built a new City with only one building, this building. Let it be the first real skycity. Only my Opinion.

That's exactly right, no city can balance such a huge tower. But if anyone can pull it off, it's Shanghai or New York (Hong Kong unfortunately has a height limit).

The only financial studies that rank London first as a financial center are from London. The American, Japanese, and Chinese surveys rank NYC first as a financial center. New York is also more influencial politically and is more culturally diverse. London is important, but New York is more so.

Well, if few more supertalls got built in Downtown NY, it could look ok
For example, downtown NY 2069 in "Cyberpunk" video game:

This is very incorrect and you seem like another troll.

Can you please not try and turn this into a city v city debate. Same go's for European Chancellor.

Paris itself has just over 2 million habitants, not 10 million. Just the suburbs make it that big.
And the metro area of london has 15 million people

But seriously, Downtown and the Hudson Yards would be the perfect spot for such a giant.

I think Broad's proposal for a 2km is much more realistic than this. I guess it will then be Shenzhen or maybe Wuhan were they build this....

It won't be economically appropriate to build such building in Wuhan. And in Shenzen, I think, too.

Yeah, this should be built in a major world city which is an economic powerhouse + has a great skyline. In other words (once again): New York and Shanghai.

This's a huge building. It should be built in a calm city which has no terrible disaster. Chicago is my opinion.
