Moving on up, as of Wednesday. It has a cantilever and surprisingly nice cladding.

Looks decent so far. Definitely better than nothing.
I guess they will place those perforated panels on top of the black spandrel.

I wish the redevelopment included 120 Cedar Street, which is the low-rise piece of crap next door. In fact, this whole block should have been redeveloped.

The original WTC had a full-service Marriott, and now we're getting a Courtyard. What a symbolic downgrade for the former greatest nation and city in the world.

Why on earth did they change the cladding on the upper floors?! The nice glass on the first 5 or 6 floors changes to boring punch windows like every Gene Kaufman hotel.

I think they still have to put another layer of cladding on top of what's currently on the base.

Hmm it will be interesting to see the cladding on the side facing 4WTC. I feel like this tower might be over designed but I'll wait to judge until I see it finished.

Looks like insulation material to me. Panels will be installed on top of this.
