Naveira Castle, Lujan, Argentina

Its construction dates from 1841 when Enrique Beschtedt buys the land and hires one of the eight architects who worked in the Basilica of Luján, the Belgian Ernesto Moreau for the work. Then in 1913 the family leaves the property and its new owner was Matilde Golpe Brańas, widow of Manuel Naveira with whom he had one son. Today the castle still belongs to the family.

School of Engineering, University of Buenos Aires

The building was conceived to house the School of Law. The construction started in 1912. On November 17, 1925 the first three floors became operational; however in 1938, upon completion of the first stage, the construction stopped. On 1948 the School of Engineering moves to the building, and the School of Law moved to a new location on Figueroa Alcorta Avenue.

There are many myths for non completion of the building: bad foundations, the suicide of the architect, the money to finish the building was used for the new location of the School of Law...

Wonderful neo-Gothic cathedrals in Argentina. The stained glass is exquisite.

Argentina has the most beautiful churches of South America. That church in Cordoba looks exquisite.
