Well, Shenzhen is so huge, you can build a supertall on one side of the city and not be able to see it from the other side of the city.

Allthough I prefer tight clusters of supertalls over them being spread out, Shenzhens skyline already looks awesome and will only get better.

Perfect location. Situated just along Shennan road, the Chegongmiao area has always felt to me be a very shallow skyline - like a poor man's version of Dubai.

Old industrial areas are great for redevelopment projects... you don't have to demolish anything except a parking lot.

Making it difficult to take a photo to include all of them

And the air quality is usually not good enough if the photo is taken from far away (Wutong mountain being one of the better spots I think, in some clear days)

Video about the area. According to the video the two towers in this thread would be just around 200-250m. But another plot next to them would be 300m~. I don't know what to think. In the best case the plots in this thread will remain 300m and 250m and we may gain another 300m~ tower next to them.

^ A lot of buildings in Shenzhen sure do have short lifespans. That's how dynamic this city is!

a few more photos:

hotel going to be demolished: now FIFTY PERCENT OFF

And, there are more than one company which are involved in the redevlopment project. For instance, as seen from this sign board, the "first renewal area" is going to be using 8.8 billion RMB and has a construction area of 416000 Square meter. The renderings are shown here:

Then, we have another plot named the "Da han Wang plot", which also rumours to be around 300 meters tall and at least a skyscraper. It has 158600 Square meter of total construction area and the company will invest 2 billion yuan in to this, as shown here:

Here is the rendering of Da Han Wang Project.

and, last but not least, a crude overall vision of this area
