It'll be interesting see this building progress... I think the cladding might grow on me...

Really sharp-looking building. Love the cladding, wish more developers would use coloured cladding as it brings life to the city.

That purple cladding is garishly hideous

Residential towers are typically cheaper than their commercial counterparts anyway. It will probably age quite quickly, but I think the cladding is a spectacular colour, very different (yellows and greens have been done a lot in Barking) and... Why not? Will be easy to re-clad with a new skin when the warranties expire.

Good tower for Croydon!

Mmm. I don't know if the cladding is that bad. London does tend to have a lot of grey days and sometimes a bit of colour like this can brighten things up. I will keep an open mind on the cladding until the building is finished, I think.

Yeah. Not to keen on the purple yet but you never get a proper picture until it's 60-70% complete.

I've seen so many buildings where the cladding has disappointed me to begin with only to be really taken back by the final outcome, so i'll give this one some time.

Croydon is a dreary place, no doubt about that, but this cheap looking pile with its garish colours is not, IMO, going to do any favours to the place. It will look tacky in no time at all so why not just build something of better quality and more lasting in the first place - some places never learn from past mistakes!

Agreed. This indeed looks tacky, IBIS hotel like tacky. I do like the shape of the tower though. I think it's too late for Croydon to be saved anyway

I'm actually starting to like how it's turning out. There should at least be one purple tower somewhere in the world, right?

From a distance it doesn't look too bad IMO.
