The chairman of DMCC said that vat to be the tallest office building in 2020, and the tallest building in the world is the Ping An Financial Center 660 m, so it is said that the minimum height is 660 m.

With 115 floors I don't expect it to be much more than 660.

I would expect that the tower have a massive roof feature.
If it will be 660m tall, it could be that the highest floor will maybe be 550m high and the last 110m will be the spire / roof feature

Almost every tower in Dubai has a crown or spire, so I'll go with what DubaiM said.

if they really want to beat Ping An this has the chance to become close to 700m. But lets see

it also is pure office, so ceiling heights are quite tall to begin with.

I think ZZ-II could be right.
Not only Ping An is planned. Many other megatalls around 600m+ will be build in China.
And if the Burj 2020 will be 660m high, there will also be a risk, that a city in China is going to plan a 680m building.
And if Dubai won't be beat by a chinese tower, it had to be 700m+ tall.

BUT: Wait, until we see, how the tower is going to like. It can be tall, but not impressive.
Because it is Dubai, I'll think, that this tower is going to be impressive, but nobody knows...

Is this going to be located on the huge empty plot between northern side of JLT & Jumeirah Park?

Correct. Here's the location on google maps: https://maps.google.pl/maps?q=Jumeir...+Arabskie&z=17

And here's the recent picture of the plot:

thank you for that excellent picture.

On that picture it looks like an odd location for a supertall skyscraper, but it's not that odd. Behind the photographer are the Jumeirah Lake Towers, which is already an impressive highrise cluster. Furthermore another highrise cluster, called Nakheel Harbour, is planned on the sandy strech of land that you see in the back of the picture, right behind those villa's.
So if they decide to build a supertall here, some day in the future it hopefully will be locked in on two sides by other tall buildings.

I think this information will be useful to people who are not that familiar with this part of Dubai.

The roads around that plot look inadequate for such a tall building.

Such a tall office building planned in the midst of a residential highrise cluster (JLT) and villa suburbs in the midst of pretty much nothing that gives this tower a meaningful integretion into the city´s fabric. What is wrong with the Dubai city planners? o.O

Wow, that's even further away than the Almas Tower.

Taken from google earth! I think the location of this tower is appropriate, it is quite close to JLT and JH.

Plus an observation platform with a view over JI, Emirates hills, JLT, marina and palm jumeirah will actually be very attractive and more interesting than Burj Khalifa's.

Nakheel Harbour is a dead project. Nakheel plans already other projects and there aren't any news of it since 2009(?)

A better location would be the big plot next to the park, where this big ruin is. ( You'll see it on the right of the picture )

That's too bad. I had hoped that Nakheel Harbour was just put in the fridge. Are you sure it's dead and not just On Hold? (In the Dubai Forum the title says 'On Hold', that's why I'm asking.)
