All the designs gathered up so far. (including contenders) original down to more recent

All korean projects confuse me with millions of contender designs behind the final one, and even then they still modify the chosen one. I'll just wait for Korea 2002 to come in peace and bring update.

I like the initial renders, and I'm sure it will look much better when it's built also. Looking forward to this.

Above 4 proposals fail to ignite excitement or passion for being a landmark tower. Please, forget all the aboves and go with the initial proposal which looks unique and stands out. I am thoroughly disappointed by the ones suggested there after. Their ideas don't seem to fly at all. Sorry to be negative but I am speaking of the truth. I went to the city of Chicago recently and found some remarkable landmark towers that have inspired me.

a couple of those new ones were really nice...one that looked like the peachtree tower and one that looked like sears tower...if your going to copy...they should at least copy a good design

Doesn't look 600+ to me, but that's one funky mall at the base.

Isn't that what happens with every significant project, everywhere in the World.

he meant that Taiwan is running behind other asian countries in building skyscrapers. Taiwan has one lonely tower in the middle of low city, then there;s one other supertall far away and that's it.

Really? Sears tower reminds us of Chicago. Empire state reminds us of New York. Does this building remind us of Seoul? I think this one reminds us of Chicago instead. Seoul needs a landmark tower that reminds us of Seoul.
The chimneny design reminds us of what?
If you are going to build one, build one that is representative of Seoul Korea.

the tower itself is only 540 or something. The rest will be a spire.

I'm not so sure about the current proposal however. The project consortium proposed lots of grandiose visions about the new design, such as a hollow center and an exterior covered with LCD panels. I'm rather skeptical, so I'll just wait for the final design.
