Guiyang and Shenzhen might have some bigger projects for now. But definitely top 5 in China!

Not really. The terminal 3 of Beijing Capital Int'l Airport is the largest for now and will be for many years, after all it has nearly 1 million m^2. After the terminal 3-A of CKG completes in 2015, CKG will rank the 3rd place in total terminal area but one year later will be surpassed by Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and then the terminal 2(600,000 m^2) of CAN will start serving passengers.

GUIYANG? I think you meant Kunming Changshui Airport. Yes. Changshui's terminal 1(550,000^2) and Bao'an's terminal 3(450,000m^2, but terminals A and B have stopped operation.) are both larger than CKG's T1+T2 (18,000+180,000^m). But I'm not sure if the 2 terminals of Chengdu Shuangliu Airport are larger than SZX or not.
2 years later, 3 terminals(730,000m^2) of CKG will simultaneously operate. In addition, the 3rd runway will be put into operation too then.

Juukeic, I meant under construction not completed.

I agree that PEK T3 is the largest single terminal in China/Asia if not the world. But I was saying that CKG T3a appears to be the largest single construction infrastructure site right now in China.

I'm talking about the Huaguoyuan project in Guiyang (non airport related project). Might be the single largest in China right now.

Sorry I didn't make it clear.
But I mentioned Terminal 2 of CAN would be completed one year later after the termnial 3-A of CKG starts operating. That means of all the projects under construction T2 of CAN is larger than T3A of CKG.

Ah, ok. Thanks for clarification everyone.

Still, top 3 in the country is not bad either, lol.

So far, CKG has completed 30% of Project T3A.
By the end of 2014, steel structure as well as the roofing will be completed, curtain wall will finish 50%, and the third runway with the taxiways will complete 60%.
In DEC, 2015, T3A and the third runway will start operating.

That's quick considering the scale of the project.

Yes, also considering the whole year's postponement in 2012 due to the scandal of BO-WANG. But if the manpower is adequate the entire project, hopefully, will be punctually completed.

Will both T3 A and B be completed around the same time?

I think A is first, but my idea is build both (or quickly start B after runway 3 opens)
