I walked by yesterday. Most of the existing structure is gone.

Great to see that hideous aggregate-paneled POS go bye bye!

A somewhat dated, but quite extensive, coverage of demolition in full swing from some time ago

An extended version with greater detail

I like the roof! Can't wait for more detailed renderings.

There was an article a while ago hinting it could go back to ~740 so 822' is actually good news. There will be at least a little height variation, there are already tons of ~740 foot buildings near the WTC and downtown.

I'm assuming it's above street and not elevation too.

Hopefully it pokes back up again to over 850 ft but I'll take 822 ft over under 750... just as long as the design stays pretty much the same, with the widening instead of tapering highest part which would at least give it distinction.

Financing has been secured, and there's only about a floor left to demo.

Renderings of 111 Murray Street in Tribeca (credit: KPF) (inset: Winston Fisher, left, Howard Lorber, right)

111 Murray getting more apartments, less space New plans call for four fewer stories, 18 more units

Quote:
Plans for Witkoff, Fisher Brothers and Howard Lorber’s Tribeca condo tower at 111 Murray Street have shifted slightly, calling for a building that is four stories shorter, with 18 more units.

The new plans bump the unit count up to 157 from 139, according to BuzzBuzz Home. They also indicate a 62-story building, down from 66 stories. The apartments will range from studios to five-bedrooms.

In May, a Chinese insurer made an investment in the project in the “high nine digits.”

The Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed tower is expected to be completed next year. Sales have not yet launched, though in February it was reported that they would begin soon. [BuzzBuzz Home] — Tess Hofmann

Fewer floors, more units so less height? Going under 800 or high floors should keep it over 800ft?

The perimeter wall height in the application just filed says 809', so at the very least that's what it's gonna be. With the crown, I guess the ~820' in the diagram several posts above is at least realistically attainable.

Per Curbed, a couple new renders (the poor quality is due to them being photographed at a meeting, as opposed to raw files):

It's a really handsome tower (although as some Curbed commentators have noted, glass curtain walls doesn't exactly scream "TriBeCa.") I'm glad they've subdued the widening of the "flute" at the top. The sloping roof appears as though it will almost exactly match that of 50 West -- they'll appear like glassy cousins framing the WTC and Brookfield Place.

This will be quite an elegant tower. Hopefully the cladding will have as good a quality as that of 50 West Street.

That looks gorgeous!

Nice to see a more organic style tower in New York and it fits!

Would love it to be taller though

Looks so good, wish it didn't get a shave but will be a tremendous complement to 50 West at about 800ft. Two really stellar glassy, classy towers for Lower Manhattan!
