You make an art out of photographing an Underground platform, you really do.

Love the new works style of stations
Is there any of the tiling left at the new Stratford station?

I don't like the arch cover, seems rather cheap compared to the classic look of the station.

Not the arches themselves, but the plastic/metal panels over them... seems what I could find over my neighbour's greenhouse.

Well, sir, there's nothing on earth like a genuine, bona fide, electrified, six-car monorail!

Due to Photobucket f*cking up, most images won't be visibile in my old posts. If you need anything specific, please write me.

Transit planners the world over had better smarten up over their regressive, over-redundant electronics being devised into door operation committed to newer rolling stock

According to a RailUK and District Dave member S7s are due to enter passenger service on the circle line tomorrow

And what do you mean by your above comment the video is of the 1992 stock and the incident is I think an issue with either the traction motors or breaks smoking into the carriages. 1992 stock I think has emergancy door release panels next to the door so all passengers had to do was pull this on the doors would open

--errr-- what's your point at identifying the lengthiness to 'new-age' status quo of complacency? although you may have a divergent one, coz, e.g., I can't remember the last time seeing somebody operate the handle to activate the opening of passenger-operated Montreal city bus rear doors.

what normally train pulls in driver opens doors checks all is clear and then closes them, they then depress the start buttons and the train drives off that is the normal procedure as I understand on the central line. The only time the door release handle is used is in an emergency when people need to leave the train.

No Circle S7s have been verified so far today. However, early mornings are still great for taking photos because there are less passengers to crowd the view.
