Yes we'll have a number of towers rising simultanuously by this time next year.

Nothing of consequence has appeared to happen here recently

The caisson drill is gone, they have a new crane on site, they have steel around one of the caisson holes. I'm guessing (not counting) that they also have more caisson holes since the last photo of the site.

Thanks for the photo(s): I stayed indoors today: maybe the construction workers are in the Bahamas...

Actually the design has gone through several stages in its evolution, but each previous stage has not endured (sadly).

The Scott Stiffler photo below appears in a Chelseanow.com "Progress Report: HY" dated 1/29 but looks like the same day as J-biz's Jan11th photo. Different viewpoint though.

From the High Line, a view of what will be 15 Hudson Yards (foreground, corner of 11th Ave & 30th St.).

And from the same article what some artist imagined 15 HY base & cultures shed (far left of rendering) would look like in 2019:

Courtesy of Related, Oxford & Mitsui
Months of rumors were confirmed on Jan. 21, when Mitsui Fudosan American announced they had partnered with Related and Oxford on full capitalization of 55 Hudson Yards, and commenced groundbreaking. The building is positioned at 33rd St. and 11th Ave., where the High Line meets Hudson Park & Boulevard and the new No. 7 subway extension.

The interesting tidbit from the chelseanow.com article is in the photo description below:

Later this year, construction begins on the indoor/outdoor arts facility, Culture Shed (set to open in 2018).

The Culture Shed is attached to the east side of the base of 15 HY.

Not surprised to see that they haven't done any real work on 15 yet.

^ They are piling. They have to do the perimeter before they can begin excavation. I think the ground is slightly softer here since it has been disturbed so often, so they have to ensure it does not fall in. This is less necessary on other sites where the the ground is so hard that they have to use jackhammers to break through it.

Some of the heights seem off. didn't they settle for 1,268 ft at Time Warner tower and also saw today they were increasing the height of the E tower to 1,039 ft... and Coach is supposed to be nearly 900 ft, not under 700. The back and forth indecision is really getting annoying here.
