I agree although if anyone should get a height increase it's the Equinox Tower - a shy 10m wouldn't hurt.

These small changes do occur during the design process.

Hmm ...from CTBUH:

Quote:
Figures
Height: Architectural 278.6 meter / 914 feet
Height: Occupied 258.2 meter / 847 feet
Height: To Tip 278.6 meter / 914 feet
Floors Above Ground 72
Floors Below Ground 1
# of Elevators 7
Tower GFA 74,322 m² / 799,995 ft²
# of Apartments 300
A 900 footer? I wonder where that info is coming from.

Probably from the architects. in this video below. This was in Sept of this year. 914ft would be super!

Below is an interview from the architects for this tower.

What is interesting is they talked about the process of what the height and width this tower will end up being and they ultimately decided that this will rise to 900 ft!

^ Nice! The South Tower is actually 905ft, so we got three 900 footers in close in close proximity to each other. D and E Towers are 914 and 950ft, respectively. And the North Tower is 1337'. Man, what a cluster.

And taller towers like the Girasole and the other half of Hudson Yards will probably contain several impressive residential high rises. That whole Boulevard going farther on through Midtown is going to be awesome with a number more residential towers, and some commercial ones too.

I love this building and its connection to both the Culture Shed and the High Line. I think the contrasts between the Equinox tower and this tower will be awesome being here on the Jersey City side relatively soon transforming the Manhattan skyline along with the two main retail/commercial towers. And so glad to see that this tower (is Culture Tower the official name, like the Equinox tower next door?) has received a push from 844 to 914 ft. The corset effect makes it so unique, along with the four tubes on top..... loved the explanation on what the corset shaped middle was intended to do and how the designers got there. LOVE this building and the whole project!!!

But the physical models show the Corset Tower as being fairly close in height to Equinox Tower. I've thought for a while that 844 feet to the very top of Corset is too low.

With all these height increases, maybe the E tower will break supertall

I remember a 900 foot height mentioned earlier in the process. I was frankly surprised when the height was placed at 844 ft.

That's most likely the highest occupied floor (CTBUH has it as 847'). I think going with 914ft is a safe bet.

Physical state of Culture Tower

Flickr's themodulorman has posted a bunch of Hudson Yards photos taken from the Coach Tower 11/22/2013.

I snipped a small portion of his panorama shot, posted below, to give an overview of the current state of the Culture Tower foundations.

I assume that Tutor-Perini will building the foundations for the Culture Tower now, whilst all this construction activity is ongoing. The left side is T-P doing Hudson Yards Culture Shed/Tower-parking garage, etc. work. I assume that deep, drilled foundation work will be upcoming in the area that has the exposed soil and excavator on ramp.

The right side is T-P doing "Amtrak Gateway tunnel box" secant pile perimeter wall work to support the upcoming excavation down to bedrock (and below). AFAIK the T-P tunnel box work on the right will includes some foundations for the Culture Tower.
Photo is looking west, midground is the 11th Ave viaduct over the MTA/LIRR West Side yard. SW corner of currently vacant, and the be overbuilt, LIRR MoE building is in photo's bottom right

Any potential dates for this to be started/finished?

Is it going to be after the North/South towers are completed?
