In renders and some of the models they are shorter but this is all very preliminary.

True, it won't be bad if they hit 600 feet too.

The curves on this building... So sexy. A well sculpted abstract vision of the female form.

Even the current plans don't have them *a lot* shorter, and they could (and probably will) be taller than the current, very tentative plans call for.

Just love this building...as long as they don't play with the basics anymore and keep the corset and four tubed top it will be unique and spectacular addition to the skyline. I've read the view could be blocked by other towers later built but where it will be I just don't think that would be possible. If it were behind taller towers but what could block it's view from the Jersey side of the Hudson?

Bizarre. Looks like it was made from leftover pieces from three other towers. A better name for it would be Frankenstein tower.

Ever since somebody on Curbed called this the Bikini Tower, that's all I can think of when I see it. Fortunately, I'm a fan of bikinis.

Phase 2 of the Hudson Yards will be built directly to the west of Phase 1. The rough plans we've seen so far seem to indicate that the buildings will get shorter as they descend towards the Hudson, so it's unlikely something taller will be built directly to the West. However it's reasonable to expect Phase 2 to block the view of at least the middle "corset" section of the tower from the Jersey side.

I hope 15 and 35 are good predictors of what is to come in phase 2. Don't want anything like Brookfield's embarrassment.

Unfortunately, I don't think so. I'm pretty sure the footprint of 15HY is further west.

AFAIK, the rebar mesh on top of the concrete is for the lower levels below the Culture Shed.

The Culture Tower will go where the soil is currently: "Where the platform ends, 15 HY will soon begin..." which includes both sides of the construction fence.
The near (north) side of the construction fence is the Amtrak tunnel box construction site & contains those three BIG rusty pipes.

Are the BIG pipes "spreaders" (in addition to the tie backs to bedrock) for the tunnel box excavation or are they for the overbuild caisson foundations or???
