Does it have a copper tinge to the outer cladding?

The foundation/caisson work for 35 HY might be starting. The marked-up HY NY FB photo shows the westernmost caisson drill operating on what I guestimate is the site. I ASSUME they will have to finish building the caissons & the erecting the columns on the caisson in the strip of out-of-service tracks and then put those tracks back in service before they can start drilling caissons in the middle of the 35HY footprint.

HY NY FB

Remember that ~6 months ago Related was distributing this diagram on HY site progress by the end of 2014. The diagram shows the base platform for 35 HY overbuilt...:

Diagram is looking NE with the 35 HY site/overbuild/foundation/whatever in the upper left of the Eastern Rail Yards superblock

Here is yet another slightly different designed 35 Hudson Yards, strange though because the most updated 15HY is there! I guess it shows how many design changes these towers are going through

Either they decided to return some cylindrical formation to the Equinox or they are just as confused as the rest of us, lol! Hope the Equinox is going back to a cylindrical design like that, especially as it gets to the higher floors.

I would also prefer more roundness

Check again tomorrow, it will be a pyramid, LOL!

Seriously, I can only hope this means the cylindrical is back in some form...love the transition from rectangular to cylindrical and hope they stick with this alteration, more or less. When is the most likely time for starting this tower up?

Looks like the latest design of 35 Hudson is what they are going with for now.

Related debuted a new model at Javits today. The massing is similar to the most-recent renderings we've seen. The crown appears slightly different, though. I have no idea what's going on with 30 HY... maybe just a weird angle?

Earlier this morning, the Hudson Yards team unveiled a 1,000 pound, 17 foot model at the International Council of Shopping Centers Conference at the Javits Center. The model is being displayed in the North Concourse Lobby, which is open to the public, so if you are in the neighborhood today or tomorrow be sure to stop by and say hello. We'd love to see you!

Interesting. I like the little setback and the chiseled look of the crown. Hopefully we'll see a render of this new iteration soon, because this model does require the use of some imagination.

Also, pretty funny about 30 HY. I guess someone forgot to attach the top!

This is still a work in progress, as that model is different from the rendering.

What have they done to 15 HY? What happened to the midsection? That was my favorite part, maybe of the whole HY project.

New design for 15HY looks like an elongated butt crack. I agree with Nathan 9... much prefer the design of the mid section in post #242. Maybe the old design was to expensive

Oh quit screwing around and just make everything a box. Every tower on the west side inevitably morphs into one. Damn cheapskates.

It's a box yea but the facade and top are really cool... I like it though I liked the other a bit better.

It looks a little higher than 1000 too
