Me too! It does seems they incorporated all the previous designs into the latest. Im sure what ever we end up with here will be impressive when built at 1,000+ ft.

Yeah it's going to be impressive, given it's practically right on the water (at least until the "West Office Tower" is built and blocks some of the views). Anyone have a sense of how wide this is in relation to say One57? I feel like they're pretty comparable.

Per Yimby this am, permit filed for this tower.

35 Hudson Yards will be 1,009 ft tall with 72 floors!

Permits Filed: 35 Hudson Yards, 1,009-Foot Office/Hotel/Condo Tower

read more in link:
http://newyorkyimby.com/2015/01/perm...ndo-tower.html

Quote:
A new building permit application was filed this morning for 35 Hudson Yards, the Related/Oxford Properties-developed mixed-use tower set to rise at the southeastern corner of 33rd Street and 11th Avenue, a block south of the new 7 train terminus, near where Hudson Boulevard meets the public square below 33rd Street, with a legal street address of 532-560 West 33rd Street. According to the Schedule A filing, there would be six stories of office space, 217 hotel rooms (up from the 175 previously disclosed), and 135 condominium apartments.

The 1,000-foot-tall, 79-story tower has morphed into a 1,009-foot, 72-story one, per the filing, with a bit over 1 million square feet of total construction area, including common space and mechanicals that do not count towards zoning.

huh, so back to mixed-use it is. I wonder if the crown will give it a significant height boost?

Plus, 35 Hudson Yards will have 200k sf more than one57 too.

I also think when its all said and done, this tower will get a prox a 50' height bump with the inclusion of the crown which those Hudson Yards Models for this tower seems to be suggesting.

It always looked like from the models that the top of 35 Hudson was somewhere in the proximity of the height of Observation deck of 30 Hudson Yards which is slated to be 1080' high.

I think ultimately, this tower ends up being 1060'

Although, the figures say 1,009'. Clearly in the model it will be much higher with the crown.

Holy crap, I nearly had a heart attack thinking that window frame was a model of a megatall right behind 30 HY.

Well since it has changed designs like fifty times already you could very well be right.

I have a hard time believing that this tower will stand 1009' tall. Every models and renderings I had seen for this tower suggests it's much taller.
