First off that is a small parking lot. Hope they expand it. Then second off there is no way that airport will have 7 747s on its apron. They will be lucky if they can get one a day. Seems like a small terminal. Also it looks like they can it expand it if needed.

Looking at this international airport for the first time, I must say that despite its small rendering (with 4 hardstand gates and several satellite gates), the terminal really looks modern that screams, "Iraq is surely looking towards the future with a new and dynamic terminal". I wonder, though, of a few things:

- Will those hardstand gates be used solely for international flights, or will those also be used for domestic journeys as well?

- With that one-story terminal, I wonder if the departure and arrival pathways will stand right next to each other (like, departures to the right and arrivals to the left)... I mean, yes, the design outside looks fantastic, but I don't get to see interior renderings just yet.

- Will the new terminal be able to accommodate the B747, or will it be able to serve the A380 too?

- What are the projected passengers and aircraft movements per annum with this new airport?

- Will there be a dedicated cargo handling area to allow cargo flights to operate to and from Tikrit?

- What will be the airport's surroundings be like in terms of infrastructure, zoning, and long-term development (e.g. highways, factories, industrial parks)?

I'm looking forward to following the progress of this airport.

Great looking terminal, nice design.
Indeed remarkable 7 747s in different sizes : some large 747s and a couple of miniature 747s....
