I really like the top part. It's fantastic. It gave me a feeling of an airport terminal like half of Beijing capital t3? Maybe

Demolition of the current structures that occupy that site is well underway. The local media reports that it should be complete by the end of this month. With the site being smack bang in the middle of the city and having four metro lines running past it ( Lines 1,2,3,6) then it's prime real estate. I would be very surprised it this project or another one like doesn't go ahead in the near future.

I remember a time when 465m was considered HUGE. Barely a decade ago.

in 2003 it would have been the tallest building on earth

nevertheless, 465m are still huge the only problem is these heights are quite normal already. Now we're excited about towers above 600m

By the time this project is completed it will be just a run of the mill building, a dime a dozen.

This race to the heavens seems to be a battle between China in the blue corner and the rest of the planet in the red corner.

It's not just super talls, skyscrapers or high rises in major cities a lot of construction activity is going on all over the country in more than 200 cities some of that undocumented outside of China.

I'm saying (super talls aside) that the threads on this forum are the tip of the ice berg in so far as buildings are concerned.

A lot of workers barracks have been erected on site even though work on the metro station there is winding down.

You can't upload photos on skyscrapercity. You first have to upload them on a image hosting website (i recommend imgur.com).
