It's great Norman Foster is coming to Philly. Given that the city already got César Pelli in the portfolio it looks like Philadelphia is developing itself into an architectural gem. (Just like it was in the good ol' days)
Given that the University of Pennsylvania has such a powerhouse architecture school, it's not surprising to see the kind of quality names associated with Philly.

The building is way too boxy, and with bad proportions. It looks like a giant filler building, not an iconic skyscraper.

It's a downgrade compared to Comcast Center, and a major downgrade compared to Philadelphia's other skyscrapers.

I really don't like the design

It's just a typical box with a spire, nothing unique or eye-catching.

Absolutely not a beauty queen on the exterior but some fantastic space design has gone into the interior plans.

The building looks a bit like the other Comcast Tower, if not shorter, with a spire on top

IMHO its too high specially for the direct environment. Would it really be such a good idea to build two 300m Skyscrsaper side by side ? I would say, no. I dont like the architekture (exterior view ) of these proposed skyscraper.

The old acc proposal looked very similar to 1wtc from the front.. The new proposal reminds me if trump tower in Chicago.. I dig it.

A simple, solid design with supertall height- I'm in favor of it.

One reason why I like this new Comcast building is because it looks Art Deco to me.

The setbacks seem to reference some of the other buildings around it.

The clad looks industrial to me, like Richard Rogers designed it.

The interiors look nice in the video posted on the previous page. The exterior looks like a bunch of LEGO blocks stacked up against each other.

I like it. This one fits in well with the Philly skyline. This is a spire done correctly.

From an outsider perspective, it's a pretty bad design aesthetically and does not blend well with the skyline. The spire just seemed tacked on and doesn't seem to fit the design of the building at all.

Sad, because the rest of Philly's scrapers are really nice.

What is with the people on this website and their distaste for boxes? I could potentially see this type of opinion towards international-style buildings of the 60's and 70's, but this Philadelphia building certainly toys around with different combinations of boxes. For some reason everyone wants some Shanghai tower for every proposed supertall and they just don't understand that organic structures like that clash with traditionalist American architecture.

Worst thing about this tower might be the slightly off proportions. They could do a bit more to make it streamlined and "tall" looking. Other than that I'm excited for Philadelphia.

good design, it is also something that would fit perfectly in the skyline of frankfurt.
