Philly is one of my favorite American cities.

It's amazing how it's getting its second very tall tower in a few years, and yet Dallas, which I also love, doesn't have one.

The other thing that strikes me is that if this were rising in NY, everyone would complain that it's a lame box like they do with 432 Park.

They've done this pretty quickly.
Hard to believe that by june the plot was like this, no movement at all.

Yeah it is insane to see how fast they did this, considering when I looked at how long the other comcast tower took for these parts seemed a lot longer.

From the pictures and videos the actual site looks like it's sandwiched in between tall buildings on all sites. Very like Manhattan.

However, in reality and on the ground, it is a rather spacious site.

My people, this isn't the place to complain about Comcast. I hate my cable company too, but we are here for our love of Architecture!

Yea tell me about it! At least we kicked the Eagles butt last night. Go Cowboys!

But Im not worried. As you know Lex Dallas is building a lot right now, Lots of infill and density. I live here and I see it. Its really great. Let Philly get theirs. Its a great classic American city, they deserve it too. We will have our turn. WE WILL GET A SUPERTALL. The amount of proposals and approvals are growing already(overall development so its only a matter of time). Im excited yet patient. Thanks for thinking of us.

Fun fact: Dallas still has more highrises in the city overall than Philly. Having more land helps with that.:p

Although not as tall I was amazed at how quickly the new Evo apartment building at Cira Center South at 33 stories is now finished. It seems like just a year ago it was just an empty space. Just goes to show you that when you have deep pockets - like the University of Pennsylvania, with an endowment worth close to $10 Billion - things move quickly!

I love this building. Growing up in south jersey, Philly was "the city" around me. I can't wait to see it rise and for Philly to gain a supertall.

This construction has just made Philly history: The "Big Pour" that has taken place the last few days required no fewer than 500 truckloads of concrete ... much more than in any time in Philly history. Surprisingly, they are working mainly at night ... can it be they don't to disrupt traffic and daytime activities in Center City???

The lower roof has a height of 911' but the upper roof (cooling tower) has a height of 997' so it is actually higher than the other Comcast.

To me, it looks as though it would fit better in London. It looks like some of the architecture there.
