Philly's skyline doesn't photograph well. Most skyline photos make it look like it only has 5-6 skyscrapers. But I agree its one of the best in N. America and CITC will solidify its position.

Agreed, and it's quite a shame. The fact that Philly has a skyline perpendicular to the orientation of the city and most of its vantage points makes it quite hard to photograph.

This is usually true, it's really impressive in person though

It also does not help the fact that Philly has had quite an amount of projects cancelled in previous years .. but still it does have a nice "hidden" skyline with great looking buildings

The tower is now officially Comcast Technology Center. Or CTC. Comcast decided to drop the "innovation" part because they thought it was cumbersome.

What projects? Most projects announced have been full steam ahead for the last few years.

Also, the skyline from the south and north is terrific. Drive up I-95 South and the whole skyline from University City-Center City-Old City is laid out, about 40 blocks long.

Original CTC
17th & Vine
Bridgman's View Tower
And some others previous to 2010 I think.. including some waldorf building.

Not many, yeah, but still would've had their respective impact in the skyline, I think. But as I said.. it does have a nice skyline.

I would love to see a pic from that angle, though

Well it's technically the block of 1600. The Mormons did an excellent job with the apt tower and their Temple at 1700. No complaints from me.
Bridgeman Tower was nothing but a pipe dream, not realistic. Same thing for the ACC rendering.

There is some truth to this.

In my view one of the very best views of the Philly skyline is from the South Street Bridge, and you never see any photos in this thread of that perspective.

In real life it's better than many of these photos suggest. For example from the center of the Walt Whitman Bridge it looks very grand - not as stunning as NYC or Chicago - and most certainly in the top 5 or 6 of American cities.

The header needs to be changed.

The official floor count is now 60, but the height is the same.

The official name is Comcast Technology Center. They dropped the "Innovation And" part.

Comcast Technology Center, or CTC.

All we have left is finish a mechanical floor, the observation deck floor then the roof. Then after that of course the cooling towers and the spire, they'll probably be done in February
