after a double grand slam with One and Two Liberty Place, these double disasters. The only building that is, to me, worse, is the thing going up in Chicago. I love Philly and dont mean to be insulting but both make me wince when i see them. Of course it's Comcast............and i love Philly's skyline too, especially from the baseball stadium.

I disagree, I really like CTC, especially once the silver horizontal lines and zigzags are all exposed- it will add texture. Plus the big cooling tower and lantern similar to Foster's Frankfurt tower. It's very industrial.
Comcast Center was designed by Robert AM Stern, and CTC by Norman Foster. CTC is a $1.2 billion development. Whatever your opinion of Comcast, these are not disasters.

When is the spire going to be constructed? I think the tower looks interesting.

I like this a lot ! Now that is what a spire should be. Now I am assuming it will be lit internally ? LED lights?...first time posting on this tread... forgive me for asking. This kind of spire is what the Wilshire Grand in L.A. should have had designed onto it (oh well, too late now). Post # 1428 with the little animation box really shows how awesome this tower is gonna look when it's done. Congrats Philly......that's a winner!

This project is starting to look really nice and is beginning to showcase how far Philly has come. I think Philly will have the 3rd best skyline in the US. I can't wait to visit Philly on labour Day weekend.

That's a stretch for now. But I do say Philly has the nicest collection of towers outside NYC and Chicago

There's a lot of good projects to look forward to in Philly. It's great that Philly's skyline is starting to expand beyond the core to west of the Schuylkill River. Projects such as the Schuylkill Yards and 30th Street station are bound to create a brand new vision. Plenty to look forward to.
