Chinese copycat cities

Hello everybody!

I have been amazed recently by the pictures coming from China which show European cities being copied.

This thread should be a collection of those cities and also a place to share news about new cities being build/copied in the European style.

They probably just go by the hi-res aerial shots and google earth pics for reference
I wonder what happens when they run out of countries to replicate ... will they remake China in China ? (Chinception )

Probably because there is no one there to dirty the place up.

There's one of an Austrian village.
Anyways, I find these towns bizarre yet strangely fascinating. Like finding out you have a twin.

What a horrible idea, its like a theme park. whats wrong with a city developing its own identity rather than badly recreating crappy touristy versions of other countries?

China's obsession with the west is just getting ridiculous now.

These are beautiful, I wish we'd employ the same tactics in Britain. Honestly, forget how Disney it is, they're much better than the Barrats boxes we're getting around here instead. I think this is great and I'd love to live there.

China's version of Disneyland. I have to say they're far more authentic. The English town is very good. Weren't they going to do a Canadian residential neighbourhood called 'Maple'? I believe is was supposed to mimic an idyllic BC suburb of detached houses set in a heavily wooded area and a 'Main Street' with town clock, etc.
