It's nice to see new projects for Frankfurt.
But Frankfurt is playing very safe in terms of skyscraper design lately, which is very boring.
Except of the ECB Headquater, all new projects seem to have this multistory grid on the facade, most of them with sandstone.

Great news that something more is in the pipeline in Frankfurt. Like the design it is very classic "filler" type of house. Still I am afraid Frankfurt is soon getting to many of them. Wasn't this suppose to have been a 250 meters? Frankfurt really needs a really tall iconic building and I was hoping this would be then one.

Yes, unfortunately, initially were 220m in conversation, then 250 and 2008 the city has downgraded it to 210m. The Hochtief is now once again cuts the tower to 60m is bitter, but is ultimately the decision of the building owner.

Still, nice filler.

The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported today, of course, also: Hochtief is hoped that by the middle of next year, there is construction law. With a construction is expected in 2015, "when the marketing and look very promising"

A completion would be planned in 2017.

What is "De Rotterdam" in your eyes.

In American cities are almost only box-shaped towers.
And Frankfurt is the most American city in this regard.

"Ich baue schöne Boxentürme, Bässe massieren eure Seele!"

Well, I was more fond of the initial higher designs. Someone should show the older concepts here.

Still, cool looking facade. But I'd prefer it to have some setbacks or more interesting geometrical features.

Sad about the height reduction but at least construction will start soon.
