Can't wait to watch this one rise in person! Finally we are getting a supertall! This calls for two dancing bananas!

I wholeheartedly agree the design is pitiful. It seems the canopy at the lower levels is the only interesting part. Considering all the hurdles Swire had with the FAA, you would think was for a better-looking tower.

Unfortunately I have to agree, the design is very underwhelming and even ugly. Too bad, I really like the miami skyline and think it deserves a far more thought out and creative design.

I like it. You need a 1000 footer there. It will grow on you.

Actually the tower is positioned just right in the middle between the four seasons and the southeast financial tower.

It won't ruin the skyline but it's really unfortunate that the pinnacle of miamis skyline will be a flat square.

spired or otherwise pointy pinnacles haven't been a dominant feature on Miami's skyline in a long time.

Yes, it's long overdue. I was hoping that they will start to build.

Not the most exciting design, but if Miami finally manages to build a clean, roof-height supertall, I won't complain.

This one building will change Miami's skyline completely. Even though the design of the building itself is not anything ground breaking or even spectacular, It's location will give the skyline a focal point instead of looking like a scattered line of buildings.

Similar to the Chicago Skyline with the Willis Tower on the left, Trump Tower in the middle and the John Hancock on the right. Looking from the lake, and of course opposite from inland... Oh I forgot the AON building thrown in there somewhere...lol

Could someone please photo shop the building in the skyline looking from the west like the airport or so. Just curious on how it would look...
