Early reports mentioned that the top of the tower would mimic the two towers of the Temple Court building.

Looks like this tower uses variable styles, very high floors too.

Btw, this Temple Court Building already had renovation work last year.

5 Temple Court

I hope this miserable block will get redeveloped for a new J&R store... it looks horrible now.

Just to confirm.

Wasn't there also a project for the block of small buildings seen on this picture?

I like that crossbracing! I just hope the top won't look too kitsch.

Can't believe I forgot about this! Love the density this brings, building literally into the neighbouring buildings!
It looks like based on that teasing render that this building is actually part of the old building, just amazing

Not sure what to think of the top

I like that it mimicks the roof of the old building, but it looks a bit 'disneyland'

Gawd, why does it have to have those cheesy peaks?

I was going to say, the top reminds me of the Excalibur in Vegas.

That's what they came up with for the top? It looks like a scaffold. Horrible.

Come to think of it...
Maybe its just my so-called "modernist purism" speaking, but I think it would look good and fit much better without the two peaks. The cross bracing adds enough character on its own.

Let the old building have them; it can pull them off better.
