STOCKHOLM | Stockholm One | 29 fl | App

Mårtensdal 6 (Stockholm One)
Hammarby Sjöstad

A new highrise is planned to be built in the famous eco-district Hammarby sjöstad in southern part of Stockholm, capital city of Sweden.
The area of the highrise will be 80.000 sq.m. and the purpose is the office building.

Stadsbyggnadskontoret:

Tidplan

Samråd 1:a kvartalet 2013
Parallella uppdrag kring gestaltning 2:a kvartalet 2013
Granskning 3:e kvartalet 2013
Antagande 4:e kvartalet 2013.

Well, Stockholm isn't really very flat. The southern part of the city is rather hilly and even the place, where the highrise is planned to be built, is not flat.
Anyway, it is really nice that more tall buildings are proposed/approved or built nowadays.

The city is very flat. The skyline. It looks like a giant knife cut everything at the same height.

If Stockholm is very flat, Copenhagen (capital city of Denmark) must be under water, then.

Great urban feel on the second image from the top with the tvärbana-train going right beside the building.

Do you have any updates on the official height? 29 floors may be well under 100m.

Groundwork has started. The building will be 27 floors (lowered from 29 due to the neighbouring Hammarbyverket chimney). Official website: http://sthlmnew.com/husen/stockholm-01

Renders (architect: Sauerbruch Hutton)

Entrance

There will be a skybar at the top.

Ye olde proposal
There has been plans for a big office building at this location for quite a while. This was the proposal back in 2004 (Berg Arkitektkontor).
