that's very strict..
if we follow that.. then this thread would just be the same as all the other threads..
same old same old - cities falling in the criteria.

I think it's fine as it is.
Gives other "shorter" cities a chance for recognition. (like Sao Paolo)

It gets boring already when the topic is only about the same cities.. it's Déjà vu overload already..

Well, then, would you say Sao Paolo pretty much has it wrapped up, though most people on SkyscraperCity it seems don't think it really has a skyline.

Nope there could be other contenders as well.

maybe Tokyo, Seoul, Mexico city, Mumbai.. and even Dhaka or Cairo!
Seriously, i was surprised at Dhaka. It rarely gets talked about. Although, others would debate of how it is related to the topic, nonetheless It was a good introduction for the city.

Isn't it nice that we get to know other cities too?
It's refreshing to talk about other cities other than the usual. As long as they fit to the criteria "densiest"

I mean we are not restricted to only talk about the top 3 in the world.. right?

As whether if it's a skyline or not.. I'll leave that to you guys.. it's a tough debate..

That's because Sao Paulo dont have a big river or a beach to define its Skyline...

I would say Kathmandu and Malé are other serious contenders for density (if height is not part of the criteria).

Sao Paulo Has a very massive mid-rise skyline but it isn't all that dense, just enormous.....I guess you could call it a sprawling skyline

I think Sao Paulo is pretty dense. It's just not that tall.

If we're going to count buildings with only 15 floors, the answer is going to change drastically.

is there a height restriction in Sao Paulo? the sprawl of highrises is almost mind-boggling

anyway, i think Shanghai should be one of the most dense.

Someone please delete the Dhaka photos. They're not "dense", just trolling.

In North-America : N.Y or Toronto ... maybe the densiest skyline of the US ... orthers are mainly an illusion of density ...

South America : Sao Paolo ? Panama ?

In Europe : Benidorm ? Buildings seems to be very close to each others...

Asia : H.K ... maybe the densiest of the world ...

Africa : Luanda ... embryonic for the moment but building projects are very close to existing buildings ...

I'd definitely put Chicago over Toronto.
